An opportunity for an aspiring Quantity Surveyor to join a long established construction company.

Role
A trainee Quantity Surveyor is required to work closely with the Commercial Manager. This is very much an entry level role where the succesful candidate will assist & be trained within the Contracts Costing department and the general administration of the general office, as required. There is the potential to work towards a Quantity Surveying qualification after succesfully passing probationary period.

Duties:

• Administration of Costing & Sun Accounts System to include data entry & sales invoicing as directed.
• All aspects of setting up Job/contract files
• Input of daily data (tickets/timesheets) relating to Costing & Contracts to the Costing system.
• Liaising with site staff to issue purchase order numbers and place on Proactis system as required
• Liaise with the management team/Directors
• Liaising and assisting in Administrative duties within the general office to enable business functions.
• Attend site meetings with management team where necessary to assist and develop knowledge and experience.

Experience Required
The role would suit an ambitious school leaver (A levels) or someone who has already obtained a qualification in a construction or administration discipline who is seeking a role as a Quantity Surveyor.

Candidates should have a minimum of GCSE's in Maths & English as well as good communication skills, willingness to learn, strong problem solving skills and a good attention to detail. Candiates should also possess a driving license and own a vehicle.

Salary/Package
Salary will vary dependant upon experience, ranging between £18,000 at trainee level to £24,000 for those with experience.
