At Stephen Sanderson Transport, we are looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join our leadership team, to oversee the Warehouse operations in its entirety.

As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations to maximise operational efficiencies, maintain departmental budgets, identify areas of improvement and to support the business strategies. You will be an ambassador for Stephen Sanderson and will work closely with our customers and peers alike.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager or a similar role, with know how across all aspects of warehousing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s warehousing operations, including picking, inventory management, logistics, and quality control.
• Support with our customer relationships, attending meetings in person or virtually.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse operational staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to optimise productivity and foster a positive work environment.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce costs while maintaining service excellence.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards, ensuring all operations are conducted in a safe and secure manner.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager within the logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of operational processes, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
• Analytical mind-set and problem-solving abilities to identify operational problems and implement effective solutions.
• Confident and very comfortable with IT systems and reporting tools.
