The Bromley by Bow Centre (BBBC) is working in partnership with Poplar HARCA, an award-winning housing association in East London, to develop a welcoming place for members of the community to access local services and support.

The role will be based within Poplar HARCA’s main building in East India Dock Road, focused on residents in the southeast locality of Tower Hamlets.

The Team Leader will be responsible for developing and overseeing the delivery of the service to ensure people are offered an inclusive and warm welcome. They will be responsible for promoting a positive culture of collaboration and innovation.

The role will line manage the Community Connector and together they will serve as the first point of contact for residents and Poplar HARCA tenants, providing support for people to engage with services and activities. This role aims to build relationships, identify peoples’ interests and goals and find appropriate opportunities for support.

The Team Leader will work to ensure that members of the community are aware of support available to them locally. The role will also involve co-designing, developing, delivering, and reviewing resident-led activities and initiatives within the space.

Location: Bromley by Bow Centre
Job Type: Full time, 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed term until 30 September 2025
Salary: £34,680 per annum
