Client: Our client is a nationally renowned M&E Contractor who turnover in excess of £250M. With numerous offices throughout the country their client base ranges from end users to large main contractors, including: Kier, Morgan Sindall, Wates and Sir Robert McAlpine. They specialise in technically challenging projects within the Datacentre, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Residential and R&D sectors. Following the appointment on a major project in North London, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Project Manager / Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the project.

Role: Mechanical Project Manager – Day Rate – £350 - £450 per day (CIS)

Project: New build mixed use development consisting of very high end residential units and large commercial amenities. The project is circa £25 million M&E and the program runs through to late 2025.

Role/Responsibilities:  

  • Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)
  • Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant
  • Technical submittals
  • RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors
  • Value Engineering where applicable
  • Programming of works
  • Health & Safety management (RAMS)
  • Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.
  • Management of variations
  • Team Coordination (overseeing engineers, construction managers and supervisors)
  • Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings
  • Overseeing commissioning stages
  • Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover
