Proving Engineer (Systems, Trails & Documentation)

£70/hour


Our client, a leading company in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Proving Engineer to join their team in Stevenage on a contract basis.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, conduct, and report on Equipment Level Proving activities
  • Join a motivated, focussed team, where communication and sharing information is key
  • Work in a friendly and supportive environment, providing opportunities to meet career aspirations and achieve a real feeling of success
  • Involve in multi-million pound international projects, owning and delivering a critical element of the proving process
  • Travel to other UK locations to support trials as necessary
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business to build a network and learn about other areas of the business
  • Develop and enhance skills via mentoring, formal training, and on-the-job training with potential career progression


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in V&V and Systems Engineering
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
  • High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Experience in writing trials and technical documentation
  • Appreciation of electronics technologies and products designed and produced in the Defence & Security sector
  • Understanding of Systems Proving Process and associated methodologies
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of internal customers, sub-contractors, partners, and suppliers at both engineering and management levels
