Senior Licensing & Enforcement Officer
Grade 9, £42,107 - £45,117 (inclusive of local weighting) depending on experience.
Full time 37 hours pw. Permanent.
Based in Hertford with the option for home working up to 50% of working hours.
Are you enthusiastic, customer-focused, technically knowledgeable, with good communication skills and enjoy delivering high quality services to customers?
Are you able to understand and explain complex matters in a way that helps people to achieve compliance? Could you mediate between parties with opposing positions? Are you the type of person who enjoys a varied and fast-moving customer facing environment?
Are you an experienced manager or someone with the skills and the drive to step up into a management role?
We are looking for someone like you to join our team! If we are a good fit for you, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive team on a wide range of projects.
What will you be doing?
- Managing the team that deals with all applications.
- Aiding the authority in achieving compliance with a wide number of regimes.
- Dealing with a wide variety individuals and agencies building affective partnerships.
- Prepare reports for Committee, Executive and Council.
About you
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent qualifications or experience.
- Able to demonstrate expert licensing and enforcement knowledge.
- Demonstrable ability to lead and contribute meaningfully to projects and cross cutting working groups.
- The ability to deal with challenging situations using tact and discretion.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work without supervision and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
