About Us:

Empowering Learning agency is represent a secondary school based in Lambeth. We are currently seeking a highly organized and dedicated SEND Administrator to support our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) department, helping ensure that students with additional needs receive the best possible care and educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient administrative support to the SEND department, including maintaining and updating records of students with SEND.
  • Organize and coordinate SEND-related meetings (Annual Reviews, EHCP meetings, etc.) with parents, school staff, and external agencies.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Liaise with external professionals (e.g., educational psychologists, speech and language therapists) and parents regarding student needs and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and regulations, including data protection and confidentiality requirements.
  • Support the SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) in monitoring and reviewing student progress and in preparing documentation for reviews and inspections.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, ensuring they are up to date and in line with statutory requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the wider pastoral team where necessary.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Previous administrative experience in a school or education setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of SEND processes, including EHCPs and IEPs, is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using school management systems (e.g., SIMS).
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices.
  • A commitment to supporting inclusive education and promoting positive outcomes for students with additional needs.
