Spirehouse are currently recruiting for an Income Officer for a Local Authority in the East Midlands.

The Opportunity:

This is a long-term temporary opportunity for an experienced Income Officer, who shall be required to take collection/enforcement action on current and former tenant rent arrears and provide general guidance to tenants on the management of their rent accounts.

The successful candidate will have/be:

• Previous experience of attending Court to represent possession proceedings
• Debt recovery within a Housing Association / Local Authority experience
• Computer literate
• Sound knowledge of best practices in management of income recovery, debt counselling and debt collection
• Up-to-date social housing issues and housing law in debt recovery

Further information:

• £19.55 per hour via Umbrella
• 37 hours per working week – Monday to Friday
• Immediate start available
• Temporary until January 2025

Requirements:

• Full UK Drivers licence with access to a vehicle
