Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor / Developer – West London
 
One of the UK’s leading developers, renowned for building high-quality homes, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a 10-year program delivering nearly 2,500 homes across 17 sites in Clapham.
 
This is a Residential New Build (RC Frame) Multi-Phase Scheme, with the initial phase consisting of over 300 units.
 
The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, primarily based on-site in Clapham, with time split between the headquarters in Ealing and working from home on occasions.
 
Assistant Quantity Surveyor Role Overview:
 
The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support Senior Surveyors throughout the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction to delivery. Key responsibilities include:

• Attending monthly CVR meetings.
• Providing commercial assistance on live and pre-construction phase projects.
• Conducting post-tender pricing analysis.
• Managing subcontract accounts.
• Ensuring compliance with contract specifications.
• Engaging in site visits and measurement tasks.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

• HNC or higher in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• A proactive approach with a willingness to learn from experienced colleagues.
• Excellent numeracy and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
