As Type Approval Engineer, you will play an important role in delivering on our commitment to our own product standards, as well as ensuring the remain totally compliant with industry standards, both in the UK and beyond.

What is the role?

Based at our site in Market Deeping, and working with the Engineering division, your role will be to work closely with VCA and the relevant internal and external stakeholders, to ensure our approvals are up to date. Reporting into the Group Homologation Manager, you will provide both technical and administrative support to both our customers and suppliers on product compliance.

The main duties and responsibilities are:

  • Updating and executing regulatory changes to the vehicle approvals
  • Ensure new technologies compliance with all regulations.
  • Identifying, extensions, amendments for all groupwide type approvals
  • Audit compliance and management, internal and external (VCA)
  • COC process
  • To ensure compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety 
  • To ensure equality and diversity is actively promoted in the workplace
  • To work as part of the wider engineering team, supporting other colleagues and undertaking additional duties as required
  • Any other duty as directed by the Group Homologation Manager

You will need to ideally have some or all of the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • 3 years + experience in a vehicle quality or compliance role
  • 2 years + experience in vehicle certification legislation
  • A strong understanding of engineering principles
  • A strong attention to Detail
  • Excellent Communication skills
