Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is looking for a Senior Sales Support member to join their growing team. You will be getting involved in processing customer enquiries and generating quotations. You will be working closely with other departments including processing teams and technical support within the laboratory, along with communicating with existing and new clients.

The Role

Filtering enquiries from new clients or for new work and responding accordingly where required.

Receiving, recording and processing work enquiries and the production of quotations, price confirmations, and price lists within the required timeframes

Follow-up of expired quotations

Analysing quotation metrics and producing reports to support Business Development activities.

Maintaining client information on the CRM system.

Identification of business opportunities based on client contact and information

Maintaining relationships with new and existing clients

Identifying quotation process improvements and assisting with the planning, testing and implementation of improvements.

Supporting and working with the Business Development Manager in the development and implementation of Business Development and Marketing initiatives. 

Carrying out client surveys, analysing the results and the production of reports to support Business Development activities.

Assisting in the production of news bulletins and other marketing literature.

Production of reports for Senior Management.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience and understanding of analytical chemistry techniques, particularly as they relate to the pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical testing methods and regulatory industry.
  • BSc or equivalent in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
  • Proven experience in the laboratory.
  • Experienced and competent in the use of the PhEur and USP
  • Experience working in a customer relations environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, CRM and LIMS software.
  • Quotation administration within the pharmaceutical or contract testing industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident and friendly telephone manner, providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Able to adapt communication to diverse audiences with varying needs
  • Comfortable with scientific complexity
  • Able to work autonomously, prioritising, organising and completing multiple tasks within set deadlines
  • Comfortable working under pressure and requesting support where needed
  • Demonstratable organisational, problem solving and team working skills
  • Adaptable, with a can-do attitude and willing to adopt improved working practices
  • Able to identify areas for improvement within the working remit and participate in solution implementation
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and collaborating with wider teams and individuals
  • Naturally inquisitive and assiduous personality with a high level of attention to detail.
