Design Technology Technician opportunity at a North West London Secondary School

Role: Design Technology Technician

Start date/Duration: September start, for the full academic year (July 24)

Salary: £100 - £150 per day, depending on experience

Hours: 8.15am - 4.15pm, Monday to Friday

The school is based in North West London and has good transport links, as well as staff parking.

The Role: As a DT Technician, you will be an integral part of the Design Technology department, supporting students and staff in various practical activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Equipment and Resource Management: Organising and maintaining a wide range of tools, materials, and equipment used in Design Technology lessons.
• Health and Safety: Ensuring all DT areas and equipment meet the necessary health and safety standards, and providing guidance to students on safe practices.
• Assistance in Practical Lessons: Collaborating with teachers during practical sessions, offering technical guidance and facilitating smooth class activities.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Conducting routine checks, repairs, and maintenance of DT equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Ordering and Inventory: Managing stock levels and liaising with suppliers to order necessary materials and resources.

The school is very interested in meeting candidates with resistant materials experience and who has a good working knowledge id 3D printing techniques and systems. The DT department is well resourced with modern equipment and resources.
