We are seeking an experienced Underwriting Portfolio Manager to join this leading commercial insurance giant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with expertise in managing or working with portfolios/binders, from creation to performance oversight and reporting. You will support the CUO and Portfolio Director by bringing underwriting expertise to build, analyse, and review underwriting plans.

The Role:

In this role, you’ll work closely with both insurers and MGAs to shape and execute underwriting strategies. You'll be attending meetings with insurers, providing valuable input, and helping to implement agreed-upon underwriting and pricing strategies. You’ll also be responsible for analysing data, monitoring loss ratios, and offering recommendations to improve performance. Building and finalising underwriting plans will be a key part of your day-to-day, working closely with business and technical teams to understand any performance issues and deliver actionable insights. You'll have the opportunity to support the development of new capacity partners and ensure best practices are implemented across underwriting processes.

To Apply:

ACII or working towards it.
Strong analytical skills with experience in portfolio management.
Technical underwriting experience in Property or Casualty insurance.Also open to someone with experience as a senior commercial underwriter or similar, with a knowledge or basic understanding of binder/portfolios, looking to progress!
