The Role: Plastic Extrusion Engineer

• Oversee the entire polymer extrusion process, from raw material preparation to the final product  
• Ensure consistent quality and efficiency in every product through effective monitoring and troubleshooting  
• Take ownership in resolving any issues related to extrusion processes, ensuring smooth production flow

Quality Assurance

• Implement and maintain stringent quality control procedures to guarantee product excellence  
• Conduct regular inspections, collaborate with the QA team, and address any non-conformities swiftly  

Process Optimisation  

• Seek out opportunities for continuous improvement in production efficiency  
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to introduce cutting-edge technologies and improve methods  
• Dive deep into performance metrics to optimise and refine extrusion parameters  

Equipment Maintenance  

• Oversee the maintenance of extrusion equipment to ensure everything is running in top condition  
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance to avoid any downtime  
• Work hand-in-hand with the maintenance team for quick equipment repairs and resolutions  

Collaboration & Communication  

• Collaborate across teams (production, R&D, quality assurance) to tackle challenges and drive improvements  
• Provide technical guidance and support to production staff, ensuring smooth communication and solutions are in place  

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in polymer extrusion processes, ideally within an industrial environment  
• Strong knowledge of polymer materials and their behaviour during extrusion  
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and a passion for continuous improvement  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced setting  
• Effective communication and collaboration skills 

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to polymer extrusion  
• Familiarity with **industry standards** and best practices
