Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer:

  • Lead the design of electrical hardware from concept through to production.
  • Translate customer requirements into precise, manufacturable designs.
  • Simulate, prototype, and analyze test data to refine product designs.
  • Develop and review design documentation, including component selection and BOM creation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure best practices in implementation.

Essential Skills of the Electrical Design Engineer:

  • Expertise in electrical design and development, with experience in Solidworks Electrical or similar software.
  • Familiarity with military, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of electrical and safety standards, including experience with ISO 9001 and EMC regulations.
  • Ability to present engineering solutions effectively in project meetings and reviews.

Security Clearance:

  • UK National, able to obtain security clearance (Baseline)
