About this role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Counter Manager in our thriving counter at Harvey Nichols.

You will be responsible for the overall growth of the account and growing brand awareness via both internal and external activity. The successful candidate will demonstrate fantastic customer service skills, have previous experience in leading a team and managing a growing business. Leading by example is the key to success in this role, you will thrive in a target driven environment and relish the chance to support and guide others to achieve their set goals and KPI’S.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will have overall responsibility for the success of the counter ensuring both the team and the account meet their sales targets.
  • Consistently Achieve your individual KPI’s across all 3 brands, to include: unit sales, occupancy, promotions across all 3 brands, new customer recruitment.
  • Lead and develop a team of dedicated Counter Specialists
  • Strategic Business planning working with the Department managers, Press and Marketing teams and Head of Retail to launch with excellence and lead on counter events
  • Hold team meetings, performance reviews & training sessions to ensure success of the team.
  • Responsible for running a treatment column, as well as working on counter, maximising occupancy and identifying sales opportunities.  

Desired Skills and Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) required
  • Previous retail experience ideally in a high-end environment
  • Previous management / assistant management experience is a must
  • A background in skincare / cosmetics sales
  • A passion for beauty and results driven skincare
