If so, Axcis have an exciting opportunity for you to become a Behaviour Mentor in a thriving secondary school in Altrincham.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students, providing tailored support to help them overcome barriers to learning and promote positive behaviour. You'll play a key role in helping students to engage fully with school life, building relationships, fostering self-esteem, and encouraging their personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group mentoring for students to improve behaviour and engagement.
- Support students with emotional and social challenges, helping them develop coping strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to implement behaviour support plans.
- Monitor student progress and contribute to developing interventions that address behavioural concerns.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or youth work setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students facing behavioural challenges.
- Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm, professional manner.
- A passion for helping young people to succeed, both personally and academically.
Pay per day £100-110/day
