Job Description

As Cleaning Manager, you will lead the cleaning operations by managing a team of cleaners, including supervisors, ensuring daily staffing levels meet service level agreements (SLA) and expectations.

Working alongside the Facilities Manager, you will oversee the delivery of all HR and people processes, including onboarding, right to work (RTW) checks, investigations, and staff training and development to ensure high operational standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the team of Cleaners including supervisors
  • Work along side the Facilities Manager to ensure all staffing levels and SLA are delivered on a daily basis
  • Deliver all aspects of HR and people processes including on boarding RTW and investigations
  • Staff training and development
  • Promote excellent communications within all teams
  • Process fortnightly payroll
  • Carry out regular cleaning audits alongside the Cleaning Supervisor to ensure cleaning standards are high at all times
  • Hold regular team meetings with both the day and evening shift

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Must have at least two years’ experience in a similar position within the cleaning/Housekeeping industry
  • Must be IT literate, comfortable with email, spreadsheets, and employee databases
  • Good planning and organisational skills, and capable of working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent people management skills, and able to assist Facilities Manager with any People issues that may arise
  • Ability to be flexible to suit customer needs and to cover operations
  • Demonstrate good delegation skills
  • Ability to direct and motivate a team, leading by example and always demonstrating best practice
