Elevation Recruitments Skilled Shop Floor Team are currently working on behalf of a Steel forgings and castings Engineering company based in Sheffield to recruit a CNC Machinist.

CNC Machinist

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Working Hours:  Mornings: 6:00am - 2:30pm Mon - Thurs, Friday 6:00am - 12:00pm. Nights: 8:00pm - 6:00am Mon - Thu
Salary: £37,000+

Overview of the role of a CNC Machinist:

• Operating and programming CNC machine tools
• Working to complex engineering drawings
• Machining large steel castings and forgings
• Slinging and crane driving, manoeuvring large components to facilitate machining operations
• Use of Continuous Improvement tools such as 6S to maintain standards

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in using both manual and CNC machines
• Extensive experience in CNC Turning / CNC Milling
• Experience in heavy engineering 
• Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
• Ability to write and understand CNC programs
• Experience of crane driving and slinging is highly desirable
