Mechanical Fitter - Heavy Engineering/Fabricated Products.
My client is looking for a number of Mechanical Fitters to join their company they are an innovative end-to-end solutions provider in the water treatment industry.
As a site based role, mainly covering the Midlands and the South.
The Role:
- Carrying out on-site mechanical installation works associated with a range of fabricated products for wastewater and water treatment plants.
- Ensuring that all systems are installed, tested and commissioned.
- Completing repairs, upgrades and refurbishment works to existing installed systems.
- Working with mild and stainless steelwork - cutting, grinding, welding, fixing.
- Working with various types of pipework - stainless, ductile, mild steel.
You:
- Engineering qualification, ideally to City & Guilds / HNC or equivalent.
- Min two years' experience in a similar role within the utilities sector and/or M&E engineering environment.
- Experience in steelwork assembly, welding and site mechanical works.
- Experience of structural steelwork and steel product installation would be an advantage
- Experience within the UK water industry is preferable, experience of installing scraper bridges would be a distinct advantage.
