The Cover Supervisor role involves supervising classrooms, delivering pre-set lessons, and maintaining a positive learning environment. Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• Ensure students are engaged and stay focused on their work.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Support students in completing their work to the best of their abilities.
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues that arise during lessons.

Requirements of the Cover Supervisor:

• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Confidence in managing groups of students and maintaining classroom discipline.
• A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting their learning.
• Previous experience in a school setting is beneficial but not essential.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards challenges.

• Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
