Catering Operations Support Manager, South West England, £33k

Our client is looking to recruit a passionate and empathetic Catering Operations Support Manager to support Chef Managers & catering teams across their 5* care homes.

Working within a sensitive environment, food is one of the most important aspects of the residents day and the catering departments produce high quality, 5* dishes.

As the Catering Operations Support Manager, you will
* Support the Chef Managers and catering teams, covering where needed
* Be involved in demonstrating cooking and presentation of food
* Ensure due diligence is completed across all sites
* Lead training and development
* Get involved in financial training and responsibility
* Be accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care

Working hours are 5/7, 40 hours per week
Due to the role, you will need to have your own transport

As out ideal candidate, you will be
* An Catering Operations Support Manager or Chef Manager with a proven work history
* Craft trained or have worked within a professional kitchen
* Ideally hold City & Guilds 7061 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering for the Hospitality Industry
* A strong manager with the ability to listen as well as lead
* Able to take initiative and responsibility
* Exceptional in communication skills, liaising with residents, families and colleagues
* Empathetic with a keenness to make a difference
