Are you a seasoned legal professional with a background in property law, currently working or having recently worked at a top-tier law firm? Are you looking for a fresh challenge that offers both flexibility and an enhanced quality of life? If so, we have a unique opportunity that may be perfect for you.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a distinguished private individual, who is seeking a qualified Legal Adviser to join their team. In this role, you will provide expert legal support across a diverse range of matters, with a primary focus on UK residential property law, including listed and heritage buildings. This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer who values the chance to work on high-profile transactions while maintaining a balanced, flexible work-life schedule.

The Role

As Legal Adviser, you will play an integral role in managing property transactions, advising on conveyancing, title issues, and the legal complexities surrounding heritage properties. You will collaborate closely with the principal and external teams, handling both large-scale transactions and smaller legal tasks with the utmost professionalism. The ability to work autonomously while maintaining attention to detail and delivering tailored, client-focused advice is essential.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a lawyer with at least seven years of post-qualification experience, ideally trained and/or working for a London based recognised UK law firm, who has a deep understanding of high-value residential property and real estate finance. Experience with UK property law, including conveyance, title issues, and the regulations specific to listed and heritage buildings, is crucial. Strong drafting and organisational skills are also a must, as is the ability to work independently within a part-time, non-exclusive role.

Remuneration

This role offers significant flexibility, with the successful candidate expected to dedicate approximately 20%-25% of their time to the position. Compensation will be structured on a consultancy basis at £50,000 per annum.

Application

If you are a highly skilled legal professional with a passion for property law and a desire for a more flexible working arrangement, we would love to hear from you.
