Area Housing Manager
 
My client has an exciting opportunity in their team for an Area Housing Manager on a contract basis.
 
As the Area Housing Manager you will work directly with the Head of Housing to ensure the Housing Management Service operates efficiently and effectively to provide services to residents.
 
Hybrid working but you will be expected to spend time on site on a weekly basis.
 
 
The Ideal Candidate
 
·Significant and relevant experience of managing a Local Authority Housing Management service with expert knowledge of social housing legislation.
·Demonstrated experience within a complex political and service environment with senior managers, and a wide range of other bodies, such a partner organisations, communities, public agencies and statutory bodies.
·A commitment to equality and diversity, both as a leader and a service deliverer, with an ability to demonstrate personal leadership on the importance of diversity.
·Advanced relationship and stakeholder management skills, skilled in written and verbal communication to influence and engage others effectively and flexible and demonstrated skills of working in partnership with .
·Flexible approach and demonstrated skills in working in partnership with other departments and organisations, acting as a 'hub' to coordinate services and specific issues across interested parties.
·Customer focused - Reviews services from a customer perspective and actively seeks feedback from customers to continuously improve the services provided.
·Leadership experience that includes influencing and leading people who do not directly report to you.
·Proactive management of housing projects to delivery.
·Significant interaction with Members including responding to enquiries.
·Strong communication skills both oral and written.
·Strong knowledge of housing legislation and consumer standards
·Candidates MUST have demonstrable experience of managing housing services with a Local Authority on their CV to be considered
