The Opportunity

Following an internal promotion, we are looking to appoint a Regional Director to manage the South East Aggregates business. You will be responsible for the design and delivery the strategy to grow market share in the established London and outer areas region. You will make deliberate and strategic relationships with internal and external customers, to ensure that you maximise profit and commercial success. We have recently invested in our area leadership team, who will report into you directly and support you to expand the remit of the South East.

Through sophisticated logistic operations, you will oversee the transport of crushed rock and aggregate materials into London and manage the commercial strategy to provide materials into major projects, merchants and independent customers. Across the South, we have multiple railheads and deep sea ports to facilitate the movement of product from super quarries in Scotland, Leicestershire and the South West. You will navigate the commercial complexity of internal sales and oversee the consequent go to market strategy.

You will lead one of our most important markets and consult with the wider business to ensure we are keeping up to date with latest innovation or market trends.

As Regional Director, you recognise the value of authentic and people focused leadership to ensure your team can perform to the best of their ability. You comfortably identify opportunities to develop and nurture your team, to create organic succession throughout the organisation.

With our continued expansion into construction demolition materials and commitment to circularity, you will identify new routes to market and build strong knowledge of our customers needs. You will think innovatively about how to expand customer base and move into new, profitable avenues.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in managing a sizeable P&L and driving a commercially focused business into growth and expansion.

Whilst industry experience is advantageous, we recognise the benefits of experience outside of building materials and would love to hear from you.

This is a role that offers exposure to the wider business and is ideal for an ambitious leader looking to grow and develop in this role and beyond.
