Quantity Surveyor Construction

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To ensure successful delivery of the QS function to include estimation of costs, calculation of material needs and project timelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts.
2. Procurement and payment of subcontractors.
3. Pre and post contract quantity surveying duties.
4. Site measurement.
5. Preparation of schedules of work / bills of quantities to facilitate estimating.
6. Liaising with the Client’s professional design team and quantity surveyor.
7. Preparing contract documents.
8. Negotiate to ensure budgets are not exceeded. Accurate and vigorous cost management of projects, working closely with operations to deliver profitable outcomes.
9. To participate and support all Company initiatives with compliance of procedures and requirements for ISO9001, 14001 & 45001, FSC and Investors in People Standards.
10. Any other duties required for the effective operation of the post as deemed by Management.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying.

Experience

• Relevant industry experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Working on commercial fit out projects.
• Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills.
• Be a good team player and enjoy working in a fast-paced working environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
