Westwood Recruitment are currently on the lookout for a Manual Turner for our client based in Stockport on a permanent basis with an immediate start available. Our client manufactures its own products as well as one offs and small batch work.
Role Responsibilities:
- Use precision measurement equipment effectively and accurately
- Be continuously making attempts to help improve productivity and work methods
- Reading engineering drawings to customer specifications accurately
- Work to company & COSHH regulations whilst being aware of risk assessments and work procedures
- Ensure that all relevant documentation is completed
- Ensure equipment is regularly maintained to be in good working order and to report any faults immediately
- Keeping the work area tidy and free from obstacles
Role Requirements:
- Experience as a Manual Turner/Centre Lathe Turner is essential
- Either have a City & Guilds/NVQ in Engineering or be time served
- Experience operating on XYZ machinery is beneficial but not essential
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Can work independently
Benefits:
- Salary is £27,000 to £30,000 dependent on experience
