Compliance and Health & Safety Partner

Location: Luton - Hybrid (office-based 3 days per week on average)

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

This Property Management company is looking for an experienced Compliance and Health & Safety Partner to ensure the safety and compliance of their properties, team members, and customers. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all compliance efforts, ensuring that all properties meet stringent safety standards and legal obligations. You will also play a key role in Health & Safety management across all departments, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage compliance activities for all properties, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Oversee the Compliance Officer and manage contractors, ensuring effective servicing, inspections, and timely completion of any remedial works.
  • Supervise workplace Health & Safety across all departments, working with managers and external consultants to ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, and coordinate safety audits.
  • Develop and maintain accurate compliance data, ensuring all systems are effective and tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external contractors to ensure continuous improvement of compliance and safety operations.
  • Provide leadership and development to the compliance team, fostering a culture of excellence and high-quality service delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of compliance systems and Health & Safety legislation within the housing or property management sectors.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Safety management.
  • Proven experience in managing compliance and Health & Safety functions, including coordinating inspections, contractor performance, and safety audits.
  • Exceptional communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Experience in team management, with a proactive mindset to drive continuous improvement in compliance and safety processes.
