2020 Recruitment is looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor for our client, a global manufacturing company based in Dunfermline. This role offers permanent employment with excellent career progression opportunities.

The role is targeted at individuals with substantial supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment and focuses on leading a production team to ensure quality products are delivered on time and in a cost-efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the production team to ensure manufacturing quality and on-time delivery.
  • Act as the Manufacturing Manager’s deputy when necessary.
  • Motivate and develop staff, fostering a high-performance team culture through goal-setting.
  • Implement global processes and best practices to deliver high-quality products.
  • Ensure achievement of manufacturing objectives and monthly production schedule targets.
  • Continuously optimize production efficiency using Lean techniques.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Manage production performance metrics and work closely with engineering teams to resolve production issues.
  • Ensure processes conform to Documented Manufacturing Records (DMRs) and other business processes.

Requirements:

  • HNC or equivalent experience in a relevant field, with hands-on production line support ability.
  • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Motivation and team-building capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, with confidence in presenting to both small and large groups.
  • Ability to simplify and manage complexities in production.
  • Proven track record of driving results and maintaining accountability specifically production line management.
  • Demonstrated experience in building a continuous learning environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma expertise / process improvement.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments.
  • Strong organisational skills with an emphasis on execution and detail.
