Fairmead are recruting a Contracts Manager in Essex for our client specialising in Retail Fit-Out.

Job Summary:
My Client are seeking a skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee contract administration and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong negotiation skills, an eye for detail, and a deep understanding of the retail fit-out sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management:

    • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Project Oversight:

    • Collaborate with project managers to monitor project progress and performance.
    • Provide guidance on contractual obligations and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Cost Control:

    • Manage budgets and forecasts to ensure projects remain within financial parameters.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Dispute Resolution:

    • Address and resolve contract-related issues and disputes promptly and effectively.
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to foster collaboration.
  • Reporting:

    • Prepare regular reports on contract performance and project status for senior management.
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in contract management within the retail fit-out or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
