Abatec is assisting their client, a reputable, regional civil engineering contractor with the recruitment of a freelance Quantity Surveyor in the Exeter area.

Our client is synonymous with large-scale, multi-million-pound, Civil Engineering and groundworks projects and requires a Quantity Surveyor with previous experience in a similar position.

The successful candidate will have strong commercial acumen, civil engineering, groundworks, and NEC experience.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will:

  • Maintain accurate records, control and reconcile costs and value, report variances against agreed performance, compliance, and finance targets.
  • Take control of change management.
  • Be involved in a review of current procedures and processes and assist in the implementation of new and revised processes where required.

Our client requires a Quantity Surveyor with:

  • Previous experience working for Groundworks or Civil Engineering contractors.
  • NEC Experience
  • Strong commercial awareness and acumen.
  • Degree, or similar, in Quantity Surveying.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office incl. Excel and Word.
  • A valid UK driving license.

Salary and benefits include:

  • £350 - £425 CIS p/day
