Overview:
Equitas is currently recruiting for a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor / Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Salford. This is a full-time, long-term maternity cover position, offering the opportunity to work closely with a small group of students, delivering engaging lessons up to KS4 GCSE level. The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving license.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive and disciplined learning environment.
• Confidently deliver pre-planned lessons in Maths, English, and Science up to KS4 GCSE level.
• Engage students across various subjects, following the school’s set lesson plans.
• Provide individual support to students, encouraging their understanding and participation.
• Efficiently manage classroom resources to maintain smooth lesson flow.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere by building strong relationships with students.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and school leadership to ensure learning continuity in the absence of the regular teacher.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students.
• A proactive, independent approach to working alongside colleagues.
• Full UK driving license is required.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
