Position: Qualified SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: King’s Lynn 

Type: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:00, Temp to Perm

Salary: £13 - £15 Per Hour (Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay)

Qualified SEMH Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Supporting students with SEMH needs in their academic, social, and emotional development
•  Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing tailored learning plans
•  Building positive, trusting relationships with students to help them overcome barriers to learning
• Promoting a safe and inclusive classroom environment

• Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies
• Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each student

Qualified SEMH Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Relevant SEN/SEMH qualification or experience
• A passion for supporting children with SEMH needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situation
• Experience working in a similar role is preferred, but not essential
• Ability to commute to King’s Lynn, Norfolk
