Laser Manufacturing Engineer
Based in South Birmingham
6 Month Contract


Overview of the role:

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Laser Manufacturing Engineer to join a precision engineering company located on the outskirts of South Birmingham working on a 6 month contracting basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Manufacturing Manager in achieving objectives
• Create robust programs for EDM/Laser machinery
• Designing jigs, fixtures and press tools

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Previous experience in Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, Power Generation, Medical, Nuclear industries
• Minimum 4 years experience in Programming
• Multi axis CNc Laser Programming 
• EDM & Wire Programming skills and/or Press Tool design
• Able to create jigs and fixtures
• Engineering competence with Solidworks or similar CAD packages
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
