We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR to join the LATE SHIFT team of a thriving IPSWICH based distribution business.

Salary £31,200 working 5pm to 1am Monday to Friday.

The successful WAREHOUSE SUPERVSOR will be the Senior person on site during the evening shift and as such will be responsible for:

• Supervising a team of 5 skilled Operatives within a Warehouse / Yard environment
• Ensuring that allocated tasks are completed accurately & on time
• Best allocation of people and resources to achieve planned activity targets
• Safe and proper use of lifting equipment
• Adherence to Health & safety procedures and best practice
• Updating inventory records and associated documentation
• Facilitating smooth shift handovers
• Working closely with the Warehouse Manager on days

Your team will be primarily responsible for:

• Loading & unloading trailers & containers
• Order picking and preparation
• Stock rotation
• General housekeeping
• Receiving & dispatching containers
• Housekeeping within the warehouse & yard areas

For your application as the WAREHOSUE SUPERVISOR to be successful, your cv should highlight the following key skills and experience:

• Supervision & leadership of teams
• Experience gained in a warehouse, yard or transport type environment
• Understanding and application of Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Computer literate including bar code scanning technology
• Working to a strict daily plan or work schedule
• Fit and able to work in a drafty warehouse / outdoor transport yard environment
• Previous experience of using lifting equipment would be advantageous
