This 3 month FTC (Fixed Term Contract) provides much needed support to this key finance team within a world leading FMCG business. You’ll be supporting the Channel & Customer Director to drive revenue and win market share.  This is a true commercial finance business partner role and they need a commercially minded finance guru to hit the ground running. This team is evolving and you will be key to shaping its future.

Your new role (Finance Business Partner)

The key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner are:

• The main finance point of contact for the Channel & Customer Director and help them drive performance
• Constructive commercial analysis and commentary on month end performance through engagement with the Channel & Customer teams
• Challenge trade investment and terms, ensuring adherence to guidelines
• Lead month end closing activities working closely with Cash team to deliver on-time, accurate Net Revenue performance
• Collaborate with IT to improvement and automate month end processes
• Support Head of Finance with coordination of the team and continually improving ways of working

Reporting into Head of Finance, Channel & Customer you’ll be the eyes and ears of the finance team as well as a critical friend of the Channel and Customer teams.  It's a UK focused role for a well known international food brand.

This is a short term contract for a Finance Business Partner who has much
experience within this type of commercial role, so you can join and start proving your worth from the beginning.

Benefits

• Base salary = £65k to £85k pro rata
• 1 day per week in Chiswick office (West London W4)
• 25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays) pro rata.

 Skills and experience to be successful

• Strong business partnering skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication and ability to cascade information across different functions
• Finance systems and processes including advanced Excel skills
• P&L Management
• Variance analysis
• Commercial focus with an understanding of customer dynamics, ideally with a FMCG background

• 60-90 minute functional assessment, including case study (sent beforehand)
