The Position – SLD Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting x4 SLD Teaching Assistants to support across Primary year groups on a 1:1 or group / classroom basis. As a SLD Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for supporting students with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), Autism (ASD) and complex medical needs on a 1:1 or group basis.
This SLD Teaching Assistant role requires patience, resiliance and creativity! You will create a safe and engaging learning environment for the students and support class teachers with deliveing lessons and activities. The classes sizes are small (5-10 students) offering a calm and focussed atmosphere!
The School – SLD Teaching Assistant
This SEN school is a primary school for children aged 2 to 11 (Primary year groups) supporting students with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), Autism (ASD) and complex medical needs.
The have a creative and adapting approach when supporting and teaching students to cater to a wide variety of needs and abilities. They school offer CPD / training throughout the academic year including team teach, safeguarding and additional specialist SEN training for long-term staff!
The SEN School is part of a Federation based in South West London. The school is surrounded by great transport links including an overground, undergroud station and excellent bus routes!
