A rare opportunity has arisen we are seeking experienced Mechanical and Electrical/Instrumentation Craftsperson's to join their skilled team. This is a day-based role, and the successful candidates will participate in a rota system over an 8-week period from Monday to Friday, which includes a generous holiday allowance. The Engineering department is responsible for delivering engineering resources to perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance across all areas of the site. Additionally, the team provides expertise in various engineering disciplines to facilitate plant modifications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain the mill in an optimum and safe condition
  • Diagnose faults and take action to rectify them
  • Use the engineering management system to source parts/information and select and report history in work orders
  • Work to health, safety and environmental policies and procedures and engineering standards
  • Adhere to the permit to work/isolation system

The successful Craftsperson will possess:

  • A recognised Engineering apprenticeship (Level 3 Minimum)
  • Practical experience in a process industry
  • Computer literate with knowledge of 'Windows Office' suite
  • Working knowledge of Plant Management databases
  • Appropriate Health and Safety training - preferred IOSH Working Safely.
