Location: Rainham, RM13 8RH (3 days office based)

Our client is a leading provider of facilities management and building solutions across the UK, delivering exceptional service in both public and private sectors.

Our client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Regional Bid Manager to drive the success of our refurbishment, retrofitting and construction bids across our diverse portfolio of sectors.

In this role, you will manage and coordinate the end-to-end bid process, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver winning proposals.

You will ensure that our submissions are of the highest quality and aligned with client expectations while adhering to the business targets.

An ideal candidate would have had experience leading bids within social housing and/or residential projects and delivering £multi-million bids.

The successful candidate would have

  • Proven expertise in bid management
  • Proven experience of managing a bid management team
  • Strong understanding of facilities management, construction, and housing project delivery
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with bid management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, InDesign) and strong IT skills

You would be responsible for:

  • Lead the regional bid management team (+10)
  • Develop bid strategies and work with a multidisciplinary team to create winning proposals
  • Manage regional bid activities, ensuring they remain on target, and take corrective action as necessary
  • Provide high-level input prior to submission of high-quality bids and proposals
  • Work closely with legal, estimating, and operational teams to ensure compliance with governance procedures
  • Identify critical bid success factors and communicate them to the team as project milestones
  • Lead post-bid reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future performance
  • Collaborate with business development teams to identify new opportunities and market trends
