Work Placement Officer

  • Reports to: Placement Team Leader
  • Location: Aylesbury
  • Salary: £25k-£26k
  • Type: Full-time

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Aylesbury.

Role Purpose

  • Source high-quality, sustainable work experience and industry placements for learners aged 16 and over.
  • Act as the main contact for employers while they host students on work placements.
  • Collaborate with learners, employers, and staff to help students achieve their career goals.

Main Duties

  • Collaborate with staff to ensure placements help students develop relevant work and technical skills.
  • Develop new placement opportunities and ensure timely, effective communication with employers to maintain satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with employers and agencies.
  • Monitor students' attendance and progress during work placements, supporting their development.
  • Work with external partners, employers, and agencies.
  • Keep the CRM updated with past, current, and potential work placements.

Requirements

  • Experience in a professional setting with strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to drive and access to a car
  • Level 2 English & Maths, or willingness to obtain
  • Strong IT skills
  • Able to pass a DBS check
  • No previous convictions
