Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Newham, London

LTF Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Newham, London.

This secondary school has a strong focus on student well-being and academic success, offering a range of support to students who require extra assistance. The school is known for its inclusive ethos and excellent SEN provision, with state-of-the-art facilities designed to help students succeed. As part of their supportive staff team, you will play a key role in working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to meet their individual learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to students in the classroom, helping them with their learning and development
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
• Offer 1:1 or small group support for students who may need extra help with their studies
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
• Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe and productive learning environment
• Support students with social, emotional, and academic challenges

Essential Criteria:

• Experience working with young people in a secondary school or similar environment
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A patient and supportive approach, with a passion for helping students succeed
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience working with students with SEN
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies

Additional Information:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Paid £95 - £105 per day, term time only
• Based in Newham, London
• Immediate start with long-term potential
