Rate: £18.00 Per Hour
Reports To: Workshop Foreman
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled Bench Joiner to join our team due to continued growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing high end bespoke joinery, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.

Job role:

  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce joinery work.
  • Fabricate custom joinery products including cabinets and furniture.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Measure and cut materials accurately to meet project requirements.
  • Assemble and finish joinery products, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively regarding project updates and challenges.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or similar role.
  • Knowledge of woodworking techniques and joinery practices.
  • Proficiency in using woodworking machinery and hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Completion of a joinery apprenticeship or equivalent experience in woodworking/joinery preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift materials and equipment.
  • Standing for extended periods during production.
