CCL Global are currently recruiting for a Configuration Engineer to work on Technical Integration, replication and Configuration Management across  the projects.

The goal replication is to maximise the reuse of project design with a strong justification that it meets site specific conditions, whilst controlling the replication baseline that may evolve because the projects are running in parallel .

The goal of configuration management is to ensure a proper control of the SZC baseline, from requirement to the physical product passing by design, inherited and replicated from HPC, and modified to comply with SZC site specific conditions or changes within the supply chain.

Location: Bristol, UK.

Type of Contract: Contract inside IR35(2 years)

Key duties will include:

You be involved in the wide-ranging activities including responsibility to produce and/or update Configuration and Replication procedures applicable at a project wide level, or to the Consortium. Configuration procedures can relate for example to Open Points and Design Changes.

Other activities related to the configuration and replication procedures could become part of the service depending on workload balance, e.g.:

  • Creation/update of training material and delivery of training sessions
  • Establishment, production, and assessment of KPIs/metrics
  • Production of status accounting reports
  • Production of self-assessments (to review whether process is being followed and if it’s efficient)

Requirements:

  • University Degree or engineering diploma with more than 6 years’ experience
  • Technical Integration and/or” Configuration Management experience
  •  Open points, design change management experience
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Organisational skills, capability to meet commitments and deadlines
  • Leadership, pro-activeness
  • Communication & interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the nuclear industry with good understanding of UK EPR technology
  • Knowledge and understanding of EPR engineering design sequences and interfaces
