Contek are proud to represent our client, a leading provider of CNC machining, prototyping, and engineering services based in Chesterfield

Position Overview: 

We are looking for a CNC Turner who is proficient in programming, setting up, and operating. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Fusion 360 CADCAM. They will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring high-quality production and meeting strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Programming CNC Lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications using Fusion360.
• Select and install cutting tools, adjust tool offsets, and make necessary machine adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
• Interpret and modify CNC programs as needed to optimize machining processes and minimize cycle times.
• Work to customer specifications on drawings that may be complex.
• Ability to be flexible within your role, and willingness to learn other aspects of the business which could include Offline Programming for a flatbed laser.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner with proficiency in programming.
• Proficiency with Fusion360 or other CAD/CAM packages
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting parameters.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Hours: (40)

The hours for this role can be flexible down to work demands and personal preferences. The usual would be:

Monday to Friday
07:00 – 15:30

There is plenty of overtime available and this is paid at 1.5x your hourly rate.
