Supporting a Year 6 Child with ASD and Behavioural Needs
Location: Islington | Start: ASAP | Pay Rate: £100-£115 per day | 8:30am - 4:00pm (Early Finish on Fridays)

Are you a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant with Team Teach, Positive Handling, or MAPPA training? We have an exciting opportunity for you to support a Year 6 child with Autism (ASD) and behavioural needs in a welcoming school in Islington. If you're passionate about making a positive impact on a child's education, this could be the perfect role for you!



Key Details:

  • Location: Islington
  • Pay Rate: £100-£115 per day
  • Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm (Monday to Friday)
  • Early Finish: Fridays
  • Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview:

  • Providing 1:1 support for a Year 6 child with ASD and behavioural needs
  • Implementing strategies from Team Teach, Positive Handling, or MAPPA training
  • Supporting the child in their academic and social development
  • Working closely with the SENCO and class teacher to create a positive learning environment


Requirements:

  • Must have Team Teach, Positive Handling, or MAPPA training
  • Previous experience supporting children with Autism and behavioural challenges
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
