Reception Teacher

Location: Handsworth

Full Time - Monday – Friday

Start: Monday 4th November – July 2025

Pay to Scale - £163 – 224.00 per day - PAYE

Supply Heroes are looking for a full-time Reception teacher to join a vibrant and friendly primary school in Handsworth Birmingham. This role will involve full responsibility including planning and assessments The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and have a knack for making learning fun and engaging. This role will be starting in as soon as possible and will be for the full academic year. ECTs are welcome to apply.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and relevant lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Assessing student progress on a regular basis
  • Supporting students' social and emotional development
  • Identifying students who may need additional support and connecting them with the resources they need
  • Working effectively with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experience of teaching in EYFS and has knowledge of the EYFS National Curriculum
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching
  • Creative and innovative in their teaching methods
  • Able to build positive relationships with students
  • A team player who is willing to collaborate with others
  • A good communicator who is able to explain concepts clearly
  • Flexible and adaptable to the pupils needs
  • Have a teaching qualification to teach in the UK
