Structured Cabling Engineer contract in New Milton

DCS Recruitment currently seek experienced data cabling engineers in New Milton on behalf of a national client.

Location: BH25 postcode area

Start: Monday 28th October 2024

Duration: 2 weeks

Working up to 8 hours on night shifts, Monday-Thursday

Responsibilities and desired experience:

  • Installation of data cabling including pulling, terminating, and testing various structured cabling - CAT5/5E, CAT6/6A, CAT7 - and equipment such as APs and EPOS systems
  • Installation of relevant containment in a commercial, retail setting
  • Safe provision and use of own hand/power tools, and termination kit

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a valid CSCS/ECS/Equivalent structured cabling/comms industry related card
  • Hold a valid IPAF licence for categories 3a and 3b for cabling at high level
  • Have a minimum of 2 years comms industry experience
  • Be able to provide relevant work references prior to start

You must hold a valid UKATA asbestos awareness certificate to be fully compliant for these attendances, though this can be done online prior to start.
