Marketing Coordinator- South Aberdeen

The Role

The Marketing Coordinator will support the Marketing team by coordinating marketing activities, campaigns and content across multiple platforms. This role will involve a blend of administrative and creative tasks, helping to ensure that the company’s marketing initiatives are organised and executed effectively. As a key support for the marketing team, this role will help bridge the gap between the strategic and operational sides of marketing.

Key Result Areas

  • Coordinate marketing activities and requirements for marketing support between departments.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns and events.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns, including creation, scheduling, segmentation, and analysis.
  • Keep the company’s website fresh and relevant in line with Marketing and wider business strategies.
  • Assist in the creation and scheduling of social media content, supporting the company’s online presence.
  • Analyse data from social media and other marketing channels to identify trends and make recommendations for marketing improvements.
  • Ensure marketing collateral is regularly reviewed, updated, and distributed both internally and externally.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of marketing databases.
  • Provide reports on leads, contacts, opportunities, and third-party activities as required.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing channels, aligning with the company’s brand guidelines.
  • Assist in training internal teams on marketing tools, platforms, or new campaigns to ensure company-wide understanding and consistency.
  • Provide administrative support to the Marketing Team as required.
  • Assist in executing internal communications, team-building events, and charitable and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Manage subscription services such as marketing tools or profiles on membership organisations.

Deliverables & Key Performance Indicators

  • Maintain consistent and effective communication between marketing and other departments, ensuring that all parties are aligned on goals, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Ensure that all marketing requests are processed, supported, and delivered within the agreed-upon timelines.
  • Efficiently organize and prepare materials, venues, and necessary assets, and conduct post-event analysis to identify lessons learned and suggest improvements for future projects.
  • Support the creation and scheduling of marketing campaigns within set deadlines, ensuring smooth process flow and alignment with campaign objectives.
  • Support the regular and timely scheduling of social media content, ensuring that it is posted consistently across all platforms in line with the social media strategy.
  • Ensure that marketing collateral is regularly updated to reflect the most current products, services, and messaging.
  • Ensure that all entries in the marketing databases are accurate, up-to-date, and relevant, minimizing errors or duplicates.
  • Maintain consistent messaging and design across all platforms and campaigns, from social media to printed materials.
  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations to the Marketing team based on data analysis that can be directly applied to improve future marketing campaigns or strategies.
  • Ensure that all administrative tasks, such as scheduling, data entry or document preparation, are completed in a timely manner and with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Desired Skills and Experience

Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

At least 1-2 years of experience in a marketing role, ideally in the energy or engineering sectors.

Strong knowledge of social media platforms, digital marketing, and CRM systems.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to analyze data and report on marketing performance.

Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

A team player who can collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.

Ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and manage time effectively.

Excellent IT and research skills (essential).

High proficiency in MS Office, including developing document templates (essential).

Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and/or InDesign (preferred).

Knowledge of Apple software: Pages, Numbers, and Keynote (preferred).

Exceptional work ethic and unquestionable character, particularly regarding handling sensitive and confidential information.
