We are seeking an experienced Windows Estimator to join our clients team, a leading main contractor in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for windows projects, ensuring high conversion rates from tender to contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for windows projects from start to finish.
  • Review architectural plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project scope.
  • Collaborate with architects, suppliers, and project managers to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
  • Perform take-offs, source material and labor costs, and assess potential project risks.
  • Provide competitive quotes while maintaining profitability and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain a high conversion rate from estimates to project wins by building strong client relationships and delivering precise, competitive proposals.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, material costs, and market conditions to refine pricing strategies.
  • Monitor post-estimation project progress to adjust estimates if required.
  • Work closely with the project management team to hand over successful bids and ensure a smooth transition to the construction phase.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Windows Estimator in the construction industry, specifically with main contractors.
  • Strong understanding of the tendering process and pricing from start to finish.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving a high conversion rate of estimates to awarded contracts.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry standards, materials, and costs associated with windows projects.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to provide accurate estimates under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in building relationships with suppliers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing and contracts.
  • Knowledge of relevant building regulations and standards.
