We are recruiting on behalf of a high-achieving secondary school in Derby with a Good Ofsted rating, seeking an experienced Maths Teacher to join their department on a full-time, maternity cover basis starting on 4th November. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive school environment known for its strong academic performance and high standards.

The Role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will need to have the experience and confidence to hit the ground running, providing engaging lessons while ensuring strong classroom management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons in line with the curriculum
• Monitoring and supporting students’ progress and attainment
• Maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
• Managing behaviour effectively in the classroom
• Working collaboratively with the Maths department to ensure consistency

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3/KS4, KS5 desirable)
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to hit the ground running and quickly adapt to the school’s environment
• Available to start on 4th November
